What says "beachy" more than that aged turquoise blue
combined with a shabby style white wash?
I am always drawn to these summer colors and
until now I never knew how to achieve that look in furniture.
Annie Sloan Chalk Paint makes it simple.
I saw this cute end table at a local re-sale store.
{it did not look very cute then, but I saw its potential}
Here's is what this table looked like before:
A worn thrift store bargain begging to be made beautiful.
No sanding, no prepping--
just a quick coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (R) in Old White
Using painters tape--I taped off a square on the top,
over the dry Old White
over the dry Old White
Once dry I removed the tape,
and gently sanded with super fine paper
on the legs which brought out the wood underneath...
Then I sealed with Annie Sloan Clear wax and buffed.
Voila! a great coastal shabby chic side table!
You'll never look at worn out furniture the same way again!
